While The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom may now have taken over its status as the big game everyone’s talking about, if you’re not a Nintendo stan or simply prefer lightsabers to swords, you might still be enjoying playing through Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

Odds are you’ll have quickly become engrossed in the nuanced adventures of Cal Kestis, but, regardless of how invested you are in the poncho-loving Jedi’s romance with Merrin, you’ll definitely have paused the action a number of times to spruce up your appearance.

After all, it’s important to look your best when decimating the Spawn of Oggdo or battling your way through a challenging no-hit run, something which a new mod might be able to help with.

How long have you spent playing dress-up with Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi Survivor?

The mod in question is called ‘Outfit Manager’ and is the latest work of modders AlexPo21, Etchro and Kboykboy. Some of the former’s previous projects have made it possible to fine-tune the difficulty of Fallen Order and given it an incredibly difficult one hit kill mode.

This time, they’ve teamed up with some fellow creators to produce: “a framework for outfit mods to coexist within the game, without (having to overwrite) existing game assets,” ensuring that you should no longer have to say goodbye to vanilla clothing in order to cosplay as Boba Fett or Darth Maul.

The mod accomplishes this by adding an outfit manager menu to the game, activated by pressing the K key, which will allow you search for any compatible outfit mods you’ve got installed and equip either all or a specific part of them on Cal, before saving each assembled outfit as a profile.

You can also use the menu to change the colours of various items of clothing, your lightsaber and Cal’s hair, allowing for even more personalisation of your custom looks.

Currently, if you want to give the mod a try, you’re best off doing so by downloading another of AlexPo21’s recent works, ‘Troopers’, which adds Stormtrooper, Scout Trooper, and Patrol Trooper gear to your wardrobe in a manner that’s compatible with the outfit manager.

On the other hand, if you’re a modder that’s hoping to add that same compatibility to one of your own clothing-centric Survivor mods, you can head over to the Discord server the three modders are part of.

Regardless of whether you’re now picking out a costume that’ll match the pink mullet you’ve given Cal, far, far away this weekend, make sure to check out the massive array of helpful guides we’ve created about everything from perks to dungeons and bosses, which can aid your quest to become a Jedi Master.
