Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as Star Wars Outlaws fixes the enforced stealth mechanics in many of the game's quest objectives. The game had enforced stealth in several missions that gave you no choice but to play stealthily, ruining the immersive gaming experience.
In recent patch notes from Ubisoft, players can now play any missions however they want without being forced to stay quiet.
Having to be told how to play the game in a certain way removes any immersion and roleplaying moments when playing Star Wars Outlaws.
Players should've been able to play in any way they like, considering the game's steep introductory prices at launch.

Star Wars Outlaws creative director Drew Rechner said in a dev blog post that they have also enabled combat in syndicate districts. Along with these changes, here are some of the notable updates in the Star Wars Outlaws Title Update 1.4.0:
- Improved enemy detection
- Improved enemy tactical decision-making in combat to encourage more active management of their positioning
- Added enemy stagger to explosions
- Added a Custom Controller Preset to allow remapping of individual buttons. You can choose separate sets of button swaps for Kay, the speeder, and the Trailblazer.
- Option added to toggle the Cinematic Lens (distortion, fringing, and vignetting effects) off for gameplay
Some of the updates are the perfect reasons to boot up Star Wars Outlaws again. If you feel like you haven't played enough Star Wars Outlaws due to some bugs and issues that were present at launch, you can be sure that the recent update will improve your gaming experience.
Now that Ubisoft has fixed stealth in Star Wars Outlaws, many stealth fans can only hope for a much better stealth game: Splinter Cell Remake.
