After many weeks of speculating about the December 27 release of GTA 6's trailer 2, many fans were disappointed that they hadn't seen anything new from the most anticipated game of 2024. Rockstar Games also rode the wave, trolling people by removing and adding some Instagram posts, further bringing the community's hopes up that they will receive something come December 27.

This disappointment led to many players hurling toxic comments in the GTA subreddit, which was eventually locked on December 27. Now that the dust has settled, a GTA 6 fan aired their speculations on X about why Rockstar has kept mum ever since.

Posted on X by @GameRollGTA, they shared several speculations that arguably make sense if fans are looking at the bigger picture as to why they haven't received any updates from GTA 6 yet.

Among these speculations include Take-Two Interactive's financial year forecast for 2025, which covers the days starting from April 2025 until April 2026. This makes it so that Rockstar's vague announcement of the 2025 release of GTA 6 still covered any release date delays the team might need when developing the game.

Additionally, @GameRollGTA shared that the release of trailer 2 might happen within six to eight months before the release of the game, allowing Rockstar Games to condense their marketing efforts and make a much more calculated marketing campaign around the game.

While the majority of their speculations lean toward the possibility that fans might not receive any updates about GTA 6 soon, many fellow GTA 6 fans agree with @GameRollGTA, saying that it makes sense that GTA 6 isn't being rushed by Rockstar Games, one way or another.

Others also pointed out that GTA 6 isn't delayed yet, contrary to what many believed after the December 27 disappointments. Regardless, GTA 6 will be selling like hotcakes once it is released either this year or next year. After all, it is the most anticipated game in the recent 2024 The Game Awards.

Whether you feel that Rockstar Game's silent treatment is justified or you are one of the many who got their hearts broken last December 27, be sure to stay updated about the latest gaming news and stories by following Gfinity Esports.
