For over a decade, GTA Online has been the only online feature for GTA V. Released a few months after GTA V's launch, GTA Online lets players dynamically explore Los Santos, with many multiplayer elements making the multiplayer a treat to many GTA fans.

Little did they know that a GTA Online prequel had been in the works in Rockstar Games but was eventually scrapped to make way for the game Bully.

However, not all is lost, as new leaks about the GTA Online prequel have started to circulate online. Posted on X by user @GTASixInfo, the prequel supposedly had interesting features that many GTA Online fans would love to have if GTA Online 2 came with GTA VI.

The leak included playable factions in GTA, such as the Mob, Mafia, Yakuza, and even the Police. It also included a court system where players can plead guilty or not guilty for crimes they committed and can potentially win these based on their legal skills.

These skills are part of a skill system that the GTA Online prequel also planned to introduce. In addition to legal skills, players can level up skills that improve charisma, hacking, and chemistry, among others.

Imagine having a Jesse Pinkman-inspired character with full stats on charisma and chemistry, running drug deals between different factions. Or even a Saul Goodman-inspired character with max stats on legal and intelligence. That would've been a blast in GTA Online.

Players can also own properties in the GTA Online prequel, similar to the GTA Online we all know and love. Aside from properties, players also have an inventory with an item system that will let them trade with other players.

I kid you not when I say that this GTA Online prequel sounds similar to Breaking Bad.

The leaks allegedly came from someone codenamed "John Doe," who sold old Rockstar Games files for a substantial sum and required those who bought information from him to sign non-disclosure agreements. Now that "John Doe" is in jail, the game files are accessible to many players.
