While a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 players are already imagining how sweet life will be when the Phantom Liberty Expansion arrives, and they can ditch their old flame, Keanu Reeves, for a fresh celebrity companion in Idris Elba, some are still hanging out in Night City while they wait.
The average day experienced by these veteran mercenaries can move at a pretty breakneck pace. They spend a lot of time shooting or quickhacking their way through cybernetically-enhanced foes, to complete gigs or simply survive life on the dangerous streets of CD Projekt Red’s metropolis.
So if you’re the kind of merc who’s learned to cherish the little time you get to spend out of the firing line, be that sitting down for a breather in one of Night City’s picturesque parks or chilling at a friend’s stylish condo, a new mod might be worth adding to your load order.
Relive some of Cyberpunk 2077’s most unforgettable moments whenever you please
The mod in question is called ‘Romance Replays’ and is seemingly the work of prolific modder Deceptious, whose previous projects have opened up Megabuilding H10’s shooting range for V’s personal use. They also added immersive drinking animations to Night City’s bars.
But this time, they’ve decided to give you the chance to relive some of the most memorable romantic moments from your adventures whenever you like. So at least you won’t have to start a new playthrough to feel close to your chosen paramour (or paramours).
The mod delivers this via a shard found at the desk in V's Northside Apartment, added to the game via the free V's New Apartments DLC and rentable for the reasonable price of 5k eddies. This will allow you to trigger any romance cutscenes you’ve already experienced with the specific character you’re currently controlling.
For example, if you’ve enjoyed some time with Judy Alvarez at her lakeside getaway, or with Panam Palmer in her tank, you’ll be able to dive straight back into either of these occasions.
Also on the available list are River Ward, Kerry Eurodyne, and Meredith Stout, ensuring that, much like in the vanilla game, there’s bound to be something to match your tastes. It just means you'll be able to reignite the spark your relationships with these characters may have lost since you completed the missions they’re directly involved in.
But just make sure you tell Johnny Silverhand to step outside of your mind for a moment before you begin, otherwise, you might have your pleasant reminiscing interrupted by a groan-worthy wisecrack or two. Although, if you'd prefer to romance Johnny Silverhand, then we've got a mod for that, too.
Regardless of whether your V has just composed several cringey voicemails to their beloved, asking why things can’t go back to how they were that one time, make sure to follow us for more interesting Cyberpunk 2077 mods. We always keep up to date on any new info on the Phantom Liberty expansion, too.
