GTA 6 has been in development for so long that GTA fans have already started discussing the things that will disappoint them once the game is released. While this is the opposite of the usual launch expectations in video games, where gamers discuss the features they look forward to most, GTA fans have enough reason to prepare themselves should GTA 6 break their hearts in 2025.
Having been in development for 10 years, GTA 6 is possibly one of the games with the longest development time ever. Kids who started playing GTA V during its initial release are now full-grown adults and will have enough reasons to be critical of the game that they have waited for the longest time.

They shared that open-world robberies should be in GTA 6 as a bare minimum. A large map with no substantial activities will just be an open, empty space, similar to the majority of the map in GTA 5.

One fan shared that GTA 6 will surely disappoint them if Rockstar Games brings back what GTA 5 did to its characters: reverting to their default outfits even after players have dressed them the way they liked. Having to spend some hours dressing and outfitting your character with different fashion statements only to have them switch back to their boring default clothes can ruin someone's playthrough. Rockstar Games should know that if players want to wear a banana costume, they should stay in banana costumes whenever and wherever.
Robbing neighborhoods and businesses in banana costumes aside, other players said they'd want to be sure there would be visible vehicle damage for once. Ten years in the making and having no visible car damage will reflect in the quality of what Rockstar Games has been doing for the past decade.
Other players also mentioned that they are afraid that GTA 6 might focus too much on online content and have limited single-player content due to the success of GTA Online. A balance of a great multiplayer experience and a rich solo-player narrative is needed to make GTA 6 work for many fans.
Boring side quests and non-existent NPC injuries are also some of the reasons that will disappoint many GTA fans. With how long GTA 6 has developed, fans can hope that Rockstar Games is cooking something great.
